In addition, the material ought to have improved physical conditions compared to conventional glass ionomoer. Such improvements aid reduction in water sensitivity, less fluoride release, rechargeable fluoride besides increase in thermal expansion (Naseem, 2010). Most importantly, the material has to be light cured to achieve good bonding to dentine, which depends on surface conditioning (Brantley & Eliades, 2011).
